HP at the MWC 2014 presented the HP ElitePad 1000 G2, the first 64-bit Intel Bay Trail Tablet which has 4GB of RAM, a digitizer, in addition to support to 3G/4G-LTE network. It is primarily designed for business customers for whom there are several accessories, which offers additional security features.

The  HP ElitePad 1000 G2  offers a 10.1-inch IPS Gorilla Glass type display with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels and thus a much sharper display. It measures 9.2 millimeters thick, weighs 680 grams, and is certified to MIL-STD-810. Inside, it has Intel Bay Trail Z3795 quad-core processor, which is not only clocked at 1.6 GHz, but also 64-bit fully supported.  HP has equipped the system with Windows 8.1 64-bit. In addition, there are up to 128 GB of internal memory, possibility expandable via a memory card.

A 30-Wh battery is there, ensuring a long battery life for table equipped with the LTE module. Other features include WiFi, two microphones, a digitizer, various sensors and Gorilla Glass to protect the screen 3. The operating system can choose Windows 8.1 Pro or Windows 8.1. Microsoft office 2013 home and student is also available.

Optional accessories are also available like a special case with fingerprint sensor and a special card-identification to protect against unauthorized access. There will also be a desktop dock and various adapters for the production of various connectors, such as a VGA port.  HP ElitePad 1000 G2 features a slot for microSD cards, a micro HDMI, two cameras (an 8 MP rear and a 2 MP front). The tablet is compatible with the HP Smart Jacket, which will increase the autonomy, storage and kit interfaces. The HP 1000 G2 ElitePad is expected to be introduced as early as the end of March with a price tag of $ 739.
