The Chinese phone maker Xiaomi is giving one of its cheapest smartphones. The company is offering a model called the Hongmi 1S which has a 1.6 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad-core chip.
Xiaomi has a reputation for offering high quality phones at low prices. The new model has 8GB built-in flash storage, a 4.7 inch, 1280 x 720 pixel display, 1GB of RAM, an 8MP rear camera, 1.3 MP front-facing cameras, a microSD card slot, and Xiaomi’s custom version of Android called MIUI. The Chinese phone maker will introduce Hongmi in Singapore, with name of ‘Redmi.’
