CIO has just started working on a project on the crowdfunding site, Makuake for a USB charger. Called the NovaPort SLIM 65W, CIO says it is about 14mm thin and has a function to automatically distribute power to each device and supports 67W output. You can pre-order it till April 11th 2023, and the minimum investment required to obtain the product is 35 USD.
NovaPort SLIM 65W is a USB charger equipped with two USB Type-C ports with a maximum output of 67W. By adopting gallium nitride (GaN), heat generation is suppressed, and the body size is reduced to about 47 x 14 x 85 mm.
CIO NovaPort SLIM 65W supports USB PD 3.0 and PPS, and is equipped with a Nova Intelligence function that automatically distributes output power for each port when multiple ports are connected. The maximum output of a single port is 67W, but the total output of two ports is automatically selected and distributed within a range of 65W. Outputs are 5V/3A, 9V/3A, 12V/3A, 15V/3A, 20V/3.35A.
In addition to the safety protection function Nova Safety that constantly monitors the temperature and automatically adjusts the heat generation of the product, the surface of CIO NovaPort SLIM 65W is textured to prevent scratches. Two colors, black and white, are available, the body size is about 47 x 14 x 85 mm, and the weight is about 106 grams.
