Microsoft seeks FCC approval for Surface 2 Tablet with LTE

Microsoft, it seems is about to launch its first tablet with support for 3G, and 4G mobile broadband. As per FCC website, Microsoft has filed for approval for a device with WiFi, GSM, Bluetooth, LTE, WCDMA. It is speculated that this will be 4G version of the Surface 2 Tablet.

The technical data does not change much. Thus, it would remain a 10.6-inch Full HD display tablet with the Nvidia Tegra 4 processor and 2 GB of RAM. The Tegra 4 doesn’t have a LTE module, an external solution with an additional module must be employed. When exactly will the Surface 2 LTE appear is not known yet, probably it will be launched in a few weeks.
