Thinkpad Yoga 11e is the first hybrid tablet which employees Chrome OS. It targets customer segment of students. It’s a 11.6 inch IPS touchscreen display tablet with a resolution of 1366 X 786 pixels, 8 hours battery life, and an Intel processor.
There are two versions of the hybrid tablet, the Windows version and the Chromebook version. Windows version with Windows 8.1 costs $ 449, while the Chromebook version installed with Chrome OS will cost $ 349. The traditional non-convertible ThinkPad 11e model with both OS is also available. Since the product targets student, it has rubber bumpers, reinforced ports, and stronger hinges to deal with rough handling. Tablet includes Intel’s Education Suite, and many more applications for educational purpose. It provides for optional BIOS modifications.
