TWRP is another custom recovery that is easier to use and operate than the custom clock work mod recovery for Galaxy Note 10.1 we mentioned earlier. Its GUI is themeable and is driven by XML which means anything and everything about it is modifiable.
You can install either from playstore or from developer’s website (recommended). Here are the installation instructions:
1) Install GooManager from the Play Store or developer’s website
2) Open GooManager and provide root permissions. Yes, you must first root your Galaxy Note 10.1 before you can use this.
3) Hit Menu (or the button with the 3 dots on your screen) and then Install OpenRecovery
