Viewsonic Viewpad 100Q vs Nexus 7 2

Until last year, Viewsonic was among the most active companies in the field of tablets. However, its success was very limited as they distributed their tablets in selected countries. Due to the economic crisis and increased competition,  the Taiwanese company was forced to reduce costs and today, they released the Viewsonic Viewpad 100Q. Let us see how it fares with our favorite, the Nexus 7 2 2013 model.

Viewsonic Viewpad 100Q vs Nexus 7 2

The Viewsonic tablet devices are entry-level or mid-range, just like the Nexus 2 tablet. The latest model (which on paper does not look anything like that!). It has 10-inch IPS display (high resolution) and is backed by quad core processor, Rockchip RK3188 and 2GB of RAM. ViewSonic Viewpad 100Q offers 16GB of storage that expandable with a microSD card slot and video can be outputted via mini HDMI port. It runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, and weighs 590 grams.

The Nexus 7 2 also has quad core processor, but it is not a Rockchip Rk3188 – it is Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor which is faster and more powerful than the rockchip. It has a smaller display and is thus more portable. That said, it packs similar number of pixels too. And since it is a Nexus, expect it to get updates regularly.
