SilentiumPC Regnum RG1 TG Pure Black: new case with tempered glass without frames

SilentiumPC Regnum RG1 TG Pure Black review

SilentiumPC is not currently a leading brand in terms of chassis is concerned, as it fights to open and expand in the PC market. But today has presented an improved version of one of its best-selling boxes Regnum RG1 TG, which incorporates tempered glass without frames.

SilentiumPC has maintained all the benefits of its Regnum RG1 TG chassis, where the sober and discreet design meets the elegance of tempered glass. A chassis that was already up to date in terms of systems. Its double chamber system, which many chassis of greater value incorporate, allows this box to maintain an optimal air flow at the same time that manages to improve the management of the wiring of the chassis and components.

The dual-chamber design comes from one of the legendary boxes par excellence, the Corsair 800D, and where brands like SilentiumPC have rescued to elevate this feature one step further.

Thus, the interior of the chassis is divided into two thermally independent chambers for a more effective cooling, where PSU and HDDs would have one of the cameras while the upper part would be destined to the rest of the components.

In a chassis of this size it is expected some benefits according to him, but in this case we are somewhat limited in some aspects. For example, we can only install heatsinks up to 160 mm in height, and that excludes some of the most reputable models.

In GPU we can install graphic cards up to 380 mm, while in power supplies we will not have any problem thanks to a large space that allows PSU of 250 mm.

As for storage, will have two bays of external units of 5.25 “on the front, as well as two internal bays for HDD of 3.5″ and two of 2.5 ” for SSD.

In its front we will find 2 x USB 3.1, connector for HD Audio and microphone, in addition to the corresponding power and reset button. The dust filters are extensive, since its front has its profiles on them, but also find another one in the lower part for the power supply and which is totally removable.

Ventilation is undoubtedly one of its strengths, and although it includes only one fan in the rear (1200 RPM) is able to support up to 6 fans of 120 mm altogether, three in its front, two in the midplate and one in the back part.

The support of the radiators is more limited, since we can only install a rad of 240 mm or a radius of 120 mm on the front, while in the back we can have 1 x 120 mm.

The availability according to SilentiumPC should be immediate in the coming days, while the retail price stands at 39.90 euros within the European economic space.

The brand has not yet revealed the price for the rest of the world, so we will have to be vigilant if we do not live within the EU.
