While most of the laptop manufacture are busily engrossed making ultrathin ultrabooks, Medion, a popular tablet manufacture has released a 6 cm thick Erazer X7833 laptop that weighs under kilograms. The Medion Erazer X7833 is all about strong CPU and GPU performance. The laptop packs Intel Core i7 4710MQ processor , NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970M and 16 GB RAM that enable the gamers to enjoy all PC games released till date at almost highest settings.
Broadwell is here finally as Intel has started shipping its vPro enabled processors to the laptop companies. Some of the first devices are already on sale wiht the new processors and this includes Fujitsu Lifebook T935 that is now available to the corporate customers. Fujitsu Lifebook T935 is the successor to the Liefbook T904 which offered rotating display as well.
Fujitsu Lifebook T935 specifications include 13.3 inch IGZO display packing WQXGA resolution which is 2560 x 1440 pixels. The T935 is not the first company’s laptop to offer IGZO display. Fujitsu Lifebook TH90 was also offered with one. The one that we tested had ‘mere’ 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution. One of the key features of Fujitsu Lifebook T935 is its digitizer support allowing you to do inputs via stylus.
It is powered by Intel Core i7 5600U vPro enabled processor, up to 8 gigabytes of memory, hybrid hard disk drive up to 500GB (optional SSD), 2x USB 3.0 ports and an HDMI port. You will also find an SD card reader, RJ 45 Ethernet port and a SIM card slot for proving 3G or 4G connectivity on the go.
Battery life of Fujitsu Lifebook T935 is said to be around 9.5 hours which is more than enough for a whole day of use.
Cube is a Chinese company and today it has launched iWork 11, a windows 8.1 tablet with wide 11.6 inch display and built in 3G model that is capable of making calls and keeping you connected to data networks.
The Cube iWork 11 has a very classic design for a windows tablet. Cube iWork 11 specifications include Intel quad core Z3735G processor with built in HD graphics backed by 2 gigabytes of DDR3L memory and 64GB eMMC flash storage.
The 11.6 inch screen has resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels which means the text is going to be super sharp. The camera on the front is 2MP while the rear camera packs 5 megapixel shooter. Both ambient light and accelerometer sensors are present. Connectivity and expandability options include 802.11n Wireless LAN, Bluetooth 4.0, 3G WCDMA, HDMI port, SD card reader and micro USB with OTG connectivity.
Cube iWork 11 will come with a compatible keyboard for typing long documents and emails. It will make use of magnetic latch for connecting to the display part.
HP Probook Stream 11 and Pro 11 Education Edition are the two new cheap laptops. Both of these two are part of the HP National Education Technology Assessment (NETA) that technological strategies for sustainable education and evaluate the impact of interventions in schools technologists.
HP Probook Stream 11 and Pro 11 Education Edition specifications are not very different from the standard models. HP ProBook 11 EE is an ultraportable with Windows operating system and semi-rugged rubber housing. Specifications include 11.6 inch screen with optional touch panel, Intel Celeron or Pentium processor. HP Stream Pro 11 is an ideal mini laptop for your class room that comes equipped with a 11.6 inch display packing 1366 x 768 pixel resolution, Intel Celeron 2840 bay trial processor with 2 gigabytes of memory and 32GB of flash storage.
Unlike HP Stream Pro 11 that was launched last year, the HP Probook 11 EE will cost somewhat more as it will offered to small and medium sized companies. Price and availability of both laptops for USA is not yet known.
Micro Star International loves all in one computers and the company has launched two new AIOs namely MSI Adora20 5M and AE200 5M both of which are powered by AMD Beema. Interestingly both MSI Adora20 5M and MSI AE200 5M have identical specifications too.
There are two sub models in AE200 5M has two sub models, first has 21.5 inch display packing full HD 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution. It comes with multi touch, anti glare coating, anti-flicker and blue light technology that reduces eye strain.
The 19.5 inch model has HD+ display packing 1600 x 900 pixel resolution and has same features as 21.5” model. For storage you get 500 GB or 1 TB SATA III HDD in both models.
The MSI Adora20 5M has 19.5” display with 1600 x 900 pixel resolution, AMD E2-6110 1.5 GHz quad core processor, Radeon R2 discrete class graphics, up to 8GB RAM, 802.11n Wi-Fi, DVD super multi drive and 1 megapixel HD camera. It too has multi-touch with anti-glare, Anti-Flicker technology and Less Blue Light technology. The anti glare coating is totally optional though. For storage you get a 2.5 inch SSD.
All in one computers did not enjoy a lot of success last year but it looks like this category will finally take off this year.
HP Pavilion Mini is a gorgeous small desktop that has good enough specifications for doing business work and some multimedia tasks. Prices start at $319 for the model that comes with Intel Pentium 3558U and $449 for the top end Core i3 4025U model.
Common HP Pavilion Mini specifications include: 3 in 1 card reader, HDMi output, HP wireless keyboard + mouse and snow white casing. Both models come preloaded with Windows 8.1 operating system.
The Intel Pentium 3558U benchmark results show that it scored 1865 in the passmark benchmark test. The Intel Core i3 4025u passmark score is 2891 which is 1000 more than 3558U model.
The Pavilion Mini as evleaks says is about 2 inches tall and weighs 1.6 pounds. On the back there is a display port as well as HDMI output port. It is capable of streaming quad H resolution. For connectivity you get 802.11n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0 radio.
