As speculated, HP launched VocieTab first in India. The 6 inch model will cost about Rs. 23,000 or $ 370. The HP Slate6 will feature a 6-inch IPS LCD display with 720×1280 resolution. It will be powered by a Marvell PXA1088 SoC with a 1.2GHz quad-core processor. The HP Slate6 will run Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and sport dimensions of 165×82.6×8.98mm and weighs 160 grams.
The dual-SIM device HP Slate6 will come with 16GB expandable storage (up to 32GB) and 1GB RAM. The Slate6 will have a 5 MP rear camera and a 2 MP front camera with HD video recording support. It will have a 3.5mm audio jack, a Micro-USB port, and Stereo FM radio. Connectivity options include Bluetooth 3.0 EDR, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi and GPS. It will come with a G-sensor, gyro, ecompass, ambient light sensor, and proximity sensor. The Slate6 will be powered by a 3000mAh battery, which is rated at 10 hours of talk time, and 7 hours of video playback time by HP.
The HP Slate7 VoiceTab only differ from the HP Slate6 VoiceTab in the display size and battery type. It has 7 inch IPS display, with a 4100mAh battery. Both devices will come with 25GB of cloud storage and a few HP apps like a file manager, HP e-Print, and HP Connected Music and Photo apps.
