We have received a word from our insider in India that the phone will be released in India with a price tag of Rs 38,500 (~694 dollars). Release date is said to be September 22. The first generation Note is still selling like hotcakes as Indians are said to be fond of big phones and tablets with calling feature.
That said, expect it to be in market in the first week of October. Note 2 is a substantial improvement over the original Note, especially in terms of performance, thanks to the quad core Exynos CPU and 2GB RAM. Note 2 also has a slimmer and narrower profile making it easier to hold.
