Sony at the Mobile World Congress 2014 unveiled its new 10-inch Android tablet named SONY XPERIA Z2, which it claims to be the “thinnest and lightest in the world” with thickness of only 6.4 mm and weight of 426 grams (WiFi-only version) or 439 grams ( G/4G WiFi +3).

Inside the body, Sony has installed a new 2.3 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 MSM8794AC processor , supported by 3GB RAM and 16GB internal memory, further expandable via microSD card slot. The 10.1-inch Triluminos display with BRAVIA has a resolution of Full HD (1920 x 1200 pixels, 218 PPI) and is embellished with two cameras both Exmor R (a 2.2 MP front camera and a rear 8.1 MP camera).

The battery will probably have a capacity of 6000 mAh.  Sony Xperia Tablet Z2 uses Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 technology, which will allow the user to charge the device faster (about 75%) than other tablets. The frame will be available in two colors, black and white , and will be waterproof (IP58 certified). In addition, it has WiFi, Bluetooth, NFC, GPS and LTE all wrapped up in a new unibody aluminum design, which is likely to be much more stable. Sony will be giving accessories like two different docking stations, a normal bag, a bag with stand and keyboard and much more. Furthermore it will feature Android 4.4.2 KitKat OS.

The new tablet will be available on the market March onwards, but for now no information on prices is available. The Japanese company has also planned a series of accessories, including a dock for charging and an interesting remote control. On the back, it remains a 20.7 MP camera with LED flash.  One can record or create videos in 4K Ulta HD.  The battery has a capacity of 3,200 mAh, making the smartphone comes to 158 grams and a thickness of 8.2 mm. The launch of the Sony Xperia Z2 will be held in March, the pricing is yet to be detailed.
