This is a SIM unlock guide for the HTC Desire C phone. It requires you to have HTC drivers (download link given at the bottom) installed on your computer. The method also requires you to have a rooted HTC Desire C and have busybox installed. It is preferred that you use a stock ROM with Sense UI.
1. Download this file and extract it to a folder. Hold Shift & Right Click to open a Command prompt from the folder location.
2. Enter these commands into the CMD prompt:
ADB Shell
3. With that, you will find this:
sh-3.2#
4. Type in SU and make sure you get this.
sh-3.2#
If you don’t, then you are not rooted. Root your Desire C and start these steps again.
5. Type in this
strings -n 8 /dev/block/mmcblk0p7
Look for the code by the IMEI which is 8 digits long. Note this code and type “exit” twice to exit ADB shell
