MSI has introduced R9 290 and R9 290X with twin frozr cooler. The computer manufacture will first launch R9 290 Gaming 4G and R9 290X Gaming 4G, both of which use Twin Frozr IV Advanced cooler that allow lower temperatures at lesser sound production.
MSI has churned a gaming app that lets users switch between different presents. For instance, the R9 290 Gaming 4G features a so-called OC, gaming and silent mode. This gives you core clock frequencies of 1007 MHz, 977 MHz and 947 MHz respectively.
There is 4 GB of GDDR5 RAM that operate at an effective 5000 MHz, and linked via 512 bits interface.
The GPU measures 276 x 127 x 39 mm and weighs 1.01 kilograms. The R9 290X Gaming 4G, like its kin features same modes but has clock frequencies of 1040 MHz (OC), 1030 MHz (Gaming) and 1000 MHz (Silent) respectively. The company has not revealed the retail prices.
