At CES 2023, Lenovo announced a PC concept model Project Chronos that can track the movement of the whole body with a depth sensor.
To put it bluntly, Lenovo PC Project Chronos is like integrating Microsoft Kinect and Intel RealSense, which realized body tracking with a depth camera, with a PC, and it is a 3D virtual environment avatar that renders the movement of the user’s body in 3D. It can be converted into motion. Place it under an optional TV or monitor, and output video via DisplayPort or HDMI.
This will make it easier for YouTubers and others to easily create content in the virtual world without wearing motion capture devices or glasses. At the moment, Lenovo PC Project Chronos is still in the concept stage, but when it is officially announced, it will be provided after building an ecosystem with developers, content and service partners, and the product name will be decided at that time.
The Lenovo PC Project Chronos specifications known at this time include a 13th generation Core processor, a maximum of 32GB of memory, a maximum of 512GB of SSD, a discrete GPU, and Windows 10 as the OS.
The Lenovo PC Project Chronos’ interface is equipped with USB 3.1 x 2, Gigabit Ethernet x 2, DisplayPort x 3, Mini DisplayPort x 4, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.0, etc. It also has built-in 6W x 2 stereo speakers. The body size is 284 x 275 x 60.6mm, and the weight is 3,540 grams.
