Back in February this year, folks at Qualcomm announced Quick Charge 1.0 that will allow the phones with Snapdragon processors to be charged faster. The HTC One and Galaxy S4, both run on Snapdragon 600 processor, but for technical reasons, HTC did not implemented it in One. The reason is that battery is non removable in HTC phone and fast charge reduces the life expectancy of the phone.
Samsung Galaxy S4, on the other hand has removable battery and Quick Charge support has been implemented. HTC’s unibody design make it difficult.
While this technique is already implemented in most of the Snapdragon phones, it has still been announced officially yet. Check out Tmart ipad stands.
