In an American event, Dell showed the U.S. press , the new family of ultrabook laptops under Latitude range. These new models inherit some characteristics from the consumer series. The goal is to simplify the identification and procurement of its notebooks for customers, and ability to choose the model that best suits your needs. The new strategy has given rise to Dell Latitude 3000, 5000 and 7000 laptop that can be configured the way user wants them to be.
Dell Latitude 7000 Specs
The Dell Latitude 7000 is top-of-range ultrabook. The company claims that it is "the most secure professional notebooks ever made before." They are built with a tri-metal chassis , which consists of magnesium alloy, reinforced steel hinges, matt chrome bumper and a spill-resistant keyboard. The display lid is made of carbon fiber, with soft-touch finish. The Latitude 7000 is so strong and is MIL-STD 810G certified.
The Latitude 12 7000 and Latitude 14 7000 laptops will comes with new Intel Haswell power frugal Core i3 to Core i7 processor and SSD drive. The customer can choose from 4 or 8 GB of RAM, depending on the model, and run Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8 Pro and even Ubuntu out-of-the-box. These models will have a display of 12.5 inches (E7240) or 14 inches (E7440), with resolutions (up to) 1080p Full HD on both models and full support capacitive touch. The screens are protected by Corning Gorilla Glass technology for greater resistance to scratches and bumps.
Since these are professional notebooks, Dell has integrated many USB ports, Ethernet, Wi-Fi and optional 3G modem, NFC technology, WiDi, backlit keyboards, and optional touchscreen. We wish to clarify that the Latitude 7000 is the first ultrabook on the market with WiGig technology. It obviously comes with a rich set of security software as well, which includes authentication, encryption (FIPS 140-2) and the antivirus software. Among the accessories, there will be a docking station to expand the interfaces. The Dell Latitude 7000 series is available from today at the starting price of $1,049, and non touchscreen models will be shipped on September 12.
Dell Latitude 3000 Specs
Dell Latitude 14, 3000 (E3440), 14-inch, and 15 Dell Latitude 3000 (E3540) 15-inch will have a dedicated graphics card (AMD Radeon HD 8850m), an Intel Core i3-4010U or Core i5-4300U Haswell processor backed by (up to) 8GB of RAM.
As the entry-level range, this family will not come with Full HD (1080p) resolution, but you can configure it with 1600×900 which is not bad. The standard, starting model will come with 1366 x 768 pixels. The starting price is $599 and it will be available from September 12.
Dell Latitude 5000 Specs
Dell Latitude 5000 can be described as a series of mid-range notebook, which will be on sale from October. 
It can be equipped with optional touchscreen display which will measure either 14.1 or 15.6-inch. [via ultra book]
