At the Computex 2015 event, Acer launched Aspire Switch 10V that packs the latest Intel Atom X5 processor manufactured with 14nm process. Acer Aspire Switch 10V specifications include 10.1 inch IPS display with 16:10 aspect ratio, 1920 x 1200 pixel resolution, synaptics digitizer, USB 3.0 on keyboard and of course, the Atom X5- Z8300 processor.
Colorfly i783 Pro is a dual booting tablet that dual boots between Windows 8.1 and Android operating system. It packs 7.9 inch display with 1024 x 768 pixel resolution and is powered by Intel Bay Trail processor. Colorfly i783 Pro specifications include 2GB RAM, Intel Atom Z3735F processor, 32GB flash storage, wireless LAN, Android 4.4 and windows 8.1 operating systems. The display has wide viewing angles of up to 178 degrees, and a high contrast.
A beefy 3450 mAh battery powers the Colorfly i783 Pro tablet. It is one of the few nice tablets with 4:3 display ratio which is also used by the Apple iPad. The square screen makes it easier to browse web pages and read content. However it is not much appreciated by those who watch a lot of movies as movies have 16:9 ratio.
The Intel Atom Z3735F processor that powers the Colorfly i783 Pro has a lot of power. It runs at clock frequency of 1.33 GHz with 1.84 GHz turbo boost. It is more than enough to run either of the operating systems smoothly.
Toshiba Satellite Click 10 is the latest laptop that is on the verge of making its debut. The laptop has detachable design which was made popular by the Asus T100 and then by Acer Aspire Switch series. It was spotted in the database on WiFi alliance and while it does not show detailed specs, it does gives us an idea that it will have a 10.1 inch display and run windows 8.1 operating system.
There will two variants of the Toshiba Satellite Click 10, one will come with wireless LAN and another will be 3G only. It will have 802.11n dual-band (2.4 GHz – 5 GHz) WiFi giving it a great signal reception.
The WiFi alliance website adds that the company will be launching it as Toshiba Dynabook N40 and Toshiba Encore 10 in certain markets.
We are also pretty sure that like other detachable windows tablets, it will run on Atom processor (bay trail or haswell) and will come with a keyboard dock that will transform it into a proper laptop.
Inctel has launched its first mini PC that features broadwell fanless processors. Specifications include Intel Core i7 5500U dual core 14nm processor that can run at 2.4 GHz clock speed and supports turbo boost speed of 3GHz. The CPU is accompanied by Intel HD 5500 graphics that run at 950 MHz under turbo boost mode.
The entire chip consumes very little power – spec sheet says it eats mere 15 watts when in use. On the front, the Inctel has power button, LED status, four USB 3.0 ports, two USB 2.0 ports, SD card reader, headphone jack and microphone.
On the rear, you will find two wireless LAN antennas, two COM ports, two Gigabit Ethernet ports, two HDMI 1.4 outputs video and power connector. It can be purchased for $ 495 from the official Inctel online store. The price includes shipping via DHL.
Dell Venue Pro 11 is going to be first laptop to be equipped with USB Type-C port which is the same one that was made its debut in the Macbook 12 inch 2015 model and Chromebook Pixel. The new USB replaces a wide range of interfaces acting as power connector, HDMI and Display Port. However you must buy a adapter for each if your current peripheral does not uses USB-C port. Using this new USB port, you will be able to charge your device, connect it to a monitor, storage or other external devices.
The new model will be released in September and will come pre loaded with windows 10 operating system, Intel Atom X5 / Atom X7 processor, 3D real sense room and reversible USB-C port.
The current gen Dell Venue Pro 11 features Atom Bay trail processor and windows 8.1 pro and we feel the upcoming model will pack a lot more than just being a minor update with processor update.
