It comes with Intel Atom Z3735F quad core processor that is clocked at 1.83 GHz clock speed and consumes just 2.2 watts. Its integrated Intel HD GPU Intel HD ensures smooth operation even in 3D applications and can playback 4k content easily through XBMC.

The Intel Baytrail in Voyo V2 is complemented by 2GB of RAM and 32GB of eMMC flash memory, expandable up to 64 GB additional memory with microSD card. 2GB RAM is the maximum amount of memory accepted by it.

Voyo V2 specifications: Connectivity

As for connectivity, the Voyo V2 incorporates an RJ45 port Gigabit (10/100/1000) and WiFi 802.11 b / g / n for connecting to the network. The chipset also has integrated Bluetooth 4.0 to connect with wireless speakers. There is an HDMI connector for connecting to the TV. It comes with genuine windows 8.1 pre installed and will be upgradeable to Windows 10 as Microsoft makes it available.

Incidentally, the device measures only 13.1 x 8.2 x 1.5 centimeters, so it’s ideal for travellers as well. There are two versions of it, 8000 mAh battery for 110.35 euros and 5000 mAh battery with 64GB SSD for 119.55 euros.

Gigabyte Intel Z170 based chipset has been made available in the market. So much hype surrounds this chipset as it is based on Intel Skylake platform. This includes three models, GA-Gigabyte Z170X Gaming G1, GA-Z170X Gaming 7 Z170X and GA Z170X Gaming 3.

All three come with Gigabyte Q-Flash Plus that allows users to update the BIOS without having a processor or RAM installed. Just copy the BIOS on a USB flash drive and the motherboard will flash the updated BIOS.

Moreover, Gigabyte has decided to change the shape and brand their VRM. Also in the G1.Killer model, you will find a new arrangement of the board sinks with option to integrate a custom liquid cooling system. Another interesting feature is the inclusion of what Gigabyte has called Turbo V-Clock Tuning IC. Overclocking fans will find it much easier to increase the operating frequency of the processor installed in these chipsets.

Also, in some models they have integrated some physical buttons to perform overclocking without having to enter the BIOS.

The HP Pavilion Mini 300 is palm sized and runs Windows perfectly. That little thing has received a nice update where the company has upgraded it to Broadwell a k a 5th generation Intel processor. We have spotted two models online, first is the HP Pavilion Mini 300-130 and second is Mini 300-150.

The first one comes with Intel Core i3-5005U processor and 4GB of RAM while the second model dons a Intel Core i5-5200U chip and 8GB of RAM. These broadwell processors emit very little heat and this has allowed manufactures like HP and Shuttle to churn out fanless PCs with powerful processors.

While they are so tiny, HP has managed to equip them with lot of ports and jacks that include four USB 3.0 ports, a media card carder, display port, LAN, 802.11n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and HDMI port. Japan tech blog cross-coretech says HP Pavilion Mini Broadwell runs windows 8.1 and will get a free upgrade to windows 10. We suggest holding off till July 29 because HP will be selling them with windows 10 pre loaded after W10 release.

Following in the footsteps of the iBall Splendo of Microsoft  and Intel Compute Stick, Lenovo launched IdeaCentre Stick 300. Designed for users working both from home and for being constantly on the move, it fits in every pocket and offers more than enough performance for browsing and playing multimedia content.

Lenovo IdeaCentre Stick 300 specifications include Intel Atom Z3735F processor, 2GB of memory, 32GB storage, WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity.

To use the Lenovo IdeaCentre Stick 300, simply connect it to a monitor via HDMI port. It comes with Windows 8.1 (with the ability to upgrade to Windows 10 from 29 July) and behaves like an ordinary PC.

Lenovo IdeaCentre Stick 300 will be available early next month on the website of Lenovo and major distributors. This device comes with a recommended price from $ 129.

Acer Aspire Switch 11 V is a hybrid laptop that is run Microsoft Windows 8.1 operating system on an Intel Core M 5Y10 processor. This processor is a dual core with four thread that runs at a clock frequency of 800 MHz to 2.0 GHz under turbo boost mode. There is 4-megabytes of cache and an integrated graphics chip Intel HD Graphics 5300 clocked from 100 MHz to 800 MHz. The processor is backed by 4-gigabyte of DDR3L RAM and 128GB SSD. There is a cheaper version that comes with 64GB SSD as well.

Other Acer Aspire Switch 11V specifications include 11.6 inch screen packing full HD 1920 x 1080 pixels. The screen IPS matrix display with zero air gap technology and provides wide viewing angles, high contrast, and good color reproduction.

Acer and Lenovo have partnered with Intel and Microsoft and will be releasing three new families of laptops equipped with 11 and 14 inch displays and packing Intel Broadwell processor and Windows 10 operating system. Prices will start from 150 euro or 169 dollars for the cheapest broadwell laptop.

Release date for cheap broadwell laptops 

These cheap broadwell laptops will be released in August which is almost 2-3 weeks after the launch of the new Windows 10 operating system. This information comes from Digitimes that says Acer will introduce a 11.6-inch laptop with the price of $ 169 (150 euro) and one with 14-inch clamshell design for about $ 199 (180 euro) while Lenovo will continue with Yoga laptops packing 14-inch display at a price of $ 249 (220 euro).

All of these cheap broadwell laptops will be manufactured by Inventec which is a laptop ODM that manufactures mainly for HP.

With the launch of these laptops, Microsoft wants to tackle the super cheap Chrombook lineup that is currently best seller on Amazon. Like last year, Microsoft has adjusted the prices of its tablets and notebooks with Windows to compete with Chromebook laptops. We are expecting Acer and Lenovo to use the super cheap Celeron 3215U and 3765U broadwell processors in these laptops.
