Dell Technologies has just released a pair of gaming laptops under Alienware brand. This includes 16-inch gaming laptop, Alienware m16 and the 18-inch Alienware m18 laptop. Prices start at 2261 USD and 2412 USD respectively.
Alienware m16 and m18 are gaming laptop PCs with 13th generation Intel Core i-series CPU and Nvidia GeForce RTX 40 dedicated graphics card. Both come equipped with a unique cooling mechanism called the Alienware Cryo-Tech, which is, apparently, a large vapor chamber and four fans. It is pretty much safe to say that even high-load games can be played without causing thermal throttling.
Common Alienware m16 and m18 specifications include Intel Core i7-13700HX / Intel Core i9-13900HX, up to 64GB DDR5 memory, up to 8TB M.2 NVMe SSD and runs Windows 11 OS. As for the GPU, Alienware m16 has Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060/4070/4080/4090 and Alienware m18 has Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060/4080.
The aspect ratio of the display is 16:10 on the Alienware m16 and it measures 16 inch 165 Hz compatible WQXGA 2,560 x 1,600 pixels, 240 Hz compatible WQXGA. You also have the option to go for 480 Hz compatible WUXGA 1,920 x 1,200 pixels LCD. Coming to Alienware m18, it features 18 inch 165 Hz panel. You can choose from compatible WQXGA and 480Hz compatible WUXGA liquid crystals. The keyboard can also be optionally changed to a mechanical keyboard with Cherry MX switches.
Alienware m16 interface selection includes Thunderbolt 4 x 2, USB 3.0 x 2 one of which supports PowerShare, HDMI 2.1, Mini DisplayPort 1.4, Gigabit Ethernet, SD card slot, web camera, audio input/output and 2W x 2 speakers.
The interface selection of Alienware m18 include Thunderbolt 4 x 2, USB 3.0 Type-C, USB 3.0 x 3 one of which supports PowerShare, HDMI 2.1, Mini DisplayPort 1.4, 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet, SD card slot, web camera, audio input/output and 2W x 2 speakers.
The body size/weight is 368.9 x 289.9 x 25.4mm/3.25kg for Alienware m16 and 410.3 x 319.9 x 26.7mm/4.04kg for Alienware m18.
