The latest Intel Broadwell processors will make their debut in the fourth quarter of this year. This will include bunch of Y series processor for mobile devices like cellphones and tablets. Right now we have details of 5Y10, 5Y10a and 5Y70. We also know that these three will be followed by two more Y series processors. Core i5 5Y10C passmark score is 2868.
Of course the highlight of these Broadwell processors is their ultra low 4.5 watt TDP and as expected these CPU will feature will low CPU and GPU frequencies.
Model | Cores / Threads |
Frequency / Turbo |
L3 cache |
GPU Frequency |
Memory | TDP |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Core M 5Y10 | 2 / 2 | 800 MHz / 2 GHz | 4 MB | 100 / 800 MHz | DDR3L/LPDDR3-1600 | 4.5W |
Core M 5Y10a | 2 / 2 | 800 MHz / 2 GHz | 4 MB | 100 / 800 MHz | DDR3L/LPDDR3-1600 | 4.5W |
Core M 5Y70 | 2 / 4 | 1.1 / 2.6 GHz | 4 MB | 100 / 850 MHz | DDR3L/LPDDR3-1600 | 4.5W |
We have been told that they will have good Turbo and dynamic boost frequencies that will double the performance.
The 5Y70 has dual cores and hyper threading enabled as well that will allow you to run up to four threads at a time.
