ASUS Padfone Lite Infinity was officially launched in Taiwan on February 19. It turned out that the new device listed on the ASUS website is Asus PadFone Infinity A80 repackaged with lower price. It has been made available from Feb 19 onwards for the Asian Markets on the Family Mart retail chain. It will be made avialable at all the electronic chains/retail outlets March 18 onwards.
The “Lite” version of ASUS Padfone Infinity is powered by a 1.7 GHz Snapdragon 600 processor, while the rest of the specifications of the 5 inch HD display (1920 x 1080 resolution) smartphone are: 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, dual camera with a 13 MP camera with the pixel master technology installed, a 2400 mAh battery and a 5000 mAh battery contained in the Station. The smartphone only version costs $ 465 and the Padfone Station will cost you about $ 230 more.
The 10.1-inch tablet dock has a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels and also offers a 5,000 mAh large battery. If the smartphone is plugged in, the time is extended accordingly and the contents are displayed on the larger display. The operating system is Android, though the exact version is not known yet.
