As all custom ROM flashers know, flashing a new firmware requires you to install custom recovery. Same is the case for Galaxy note 10.1. In few days, custom firmwares for the Note 10.1 will crop up and you will be required to install CWM (clock work mod recovery).
Before we start, make sure you have installed the official Samsung USB drivers for Galaxy note 10.1. After installing USB drivers, you will need ODIN, a PC tool for flashing ROMs, radios and CWMs. Download ODIN and custom CWM from here. Unzip it and put your Galaxy Note 10.1 in download mode.
Open ODIN on your computer; connect your Note 10.1; select PDA and browse for the .tar file (there is only one .tar file). Click on the start button.
Custom Clockwork Mod will be flashed and your device will reboot now.
