T-Mobile has announced on their anniversary of launching their LTE network that they will be converting fifty percent of their edge network to LTE by the end of 2014. The US network provider took big strides in 2013 and it now claims they now cover 210 million people in 273 different metro areas.
But by the end of this year, T-Mobile will be upgrading straight to 4G LTE. This is all due to 700 MHz block of spectrum they recently got from Verizon.
More competition is always great for the consumers, and their move to 100 percent LTE coverage will apply a lot more pressure onto its bigger competitors like Verizon and AT&T.
