CIO Corporation has launched NovaPort TRIO II, a small MacBook USB charger equipped with three USB ports and capable of outputting up to 67W. Two models have been made available depending on the port configuration, with the CIO-G67W2C1A-N2 with two USB Type-C and Type-A priced at 40 USD, and the CIO-G67W3C-N2 with three USB Type-C ports priced at 41 USD.
Compared to the previous model, the new USB MacBook charger is about 11-percent smaller in size. It also has three USB ports, allowing for simultaneous charging of three devices. The plug is foldable, and the shape of the plug side has been changed to a full flat surface, improving stability when plugged into a wall outlet.
CIO USB MacBook charger has two built-in gallium nitride GaN chips and adopts the new Nova Engine technology that improves conversion efficiency and reduces heat generation. It also features Nova Intelligence, which automatically distributes power according to connected devices, and Nova Safety 2.0, a safety protection function that monitors temperature.
For the CIO-G67W2C1A-N2, the output is 5V/3A, 9V/3A, 12V/3A, 15V/3A, 20V/3.35A maximum 67W for USB Type-C, and 5V/3A, 9V/2A, 12V/1.5A maximum 18W for Type-A. Up to 60W for three ports simultaneously with MacBook plugged in.
In the case of CIO-G67W3C-N2, the three ports are common to all three ports: 5V/3A, 9V/3A, 12V/3A, 15V/3A, and 20V/3.35A maximum 67W. The simultaneous output of all three ports is 60W.
The size is 54 x 40 x 30 mm for both models. The weight is about 109-grams for the CIO-G67W2C1A-N2 and about 113g for the CIO-G67W3C-N2.
