Princeton has released HDMI wireless adapter called the EZCast Pocket that sends signals as output from HDMI or USB Type-C. Expected price is to be around 101 USD for the HDMI to HDMI model and around 108 USD for the USB Type-C to HDMI model.
EZCast Pocket enables wireless communication between devices and monitors by transmitting display signals via IEEE 802.11n using the 5GHz band. The transfer distance of EZCast Pocket is about 10m line-of-sight distance. The maximum supported resolution on EZCast Pocket is 1,920 x 1,080 pixels / 60p, and HDCP is also supported. A USB power supply is required separately 5V/1A.
EZCast Pocket operates without drivers and is claimed to be compatible with Android, Windows, macOS, and ChromeOS. The body size and weight of the HDMI to HDMI model is 170 x 40 x 16 mm / about 43 g for both the transmitter and receiver. The USB Type-C to HDMI model weighs about 36g on the transmitter side.
