Microsoft is planning to release its One Note application for Apple’s Mac OS X operating system later this month. If this rumor is true then it would bring strong competition to popular note taking application Evernote.
The One Note application was launched by Microsoft around 10 years ago. Right now, the Redmond giant has limited it to Windows Phone and desktop Windows operating system but two years back, it made the application available on Android and Apple iOS platform as well.
The Verge says that like its windows counterpart, the Mac version will also be free. No extra charges will be incurred by the user for storing and syncing the notes. It will be interesting to see if it will be able to lure the Evernote user base.
