Western Digital has released the WD Blue SN5000 NVMe SSD with a maximum capacity of 4TB. It comes in four capacities: 500GB, 1TB, 2TB, and 4TB, that will be hitting market shelves soon for 70 USD, 98 USD, 182 USD, and 325 USD, respectively.
SSD for creators and professionals
Equipped with nCache 4.0 technology that accelerates artificial intelligence and creative workflows, the WD Blue SN5000 NVMe’s connection interface with the PC is PCI Express 4.0, and the form factor is M.2 2280.
The NAND is TLC for up to 2TB and QLC for the 4TB model, with a maximum sequential read speed of 5,500MB/s. Both WD Blue SN5000 NVMe’s models have a MTTF of 1.75 million hours and a 5-year warranty.
Quite frankly, it is insane to see 4TB being packed into tiny storage. It is nice to see Western Digital backing their new WD Blue SN5000 NVMe with decent warranty that will instill a lot of confidence in new buyers.
