Network provider, Verizon had earlier announced that they will be shipping the HTC Droid DNA to its customers in early December (2012). Well, they have pre-poned the release date and the Droid DNA is already on sale for $199.99 for a 2 year contract. However, the network provider will not be selling it with an unlocked bootloader to prevent the ROM modders from tinkering the operating system.
Previous reports suggest that the developers were able to get the Droid DNA unlocked via HTC’s developer’s website, but now it appears that it is no longer supported. That said, XDA developers’s ROM modders are working fingers to the bone in getting the bootloader unlocked so that they can start making new ROMs for the super phone. [via]
