Former employees of the Chinese smartphone company, Oppo have teamed up in a company called OnePlus that intends to bring high-end technology and features at low prices. Their upcoming flagship “One” is based on a modified CyanogenMod running Android 4.4 KitKat OS. It offers a 5.5 inch large IPS display with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels. The highlight is the processor: A Snapdragon 801 with 2.3 GHz clock speed which makes it similar to the new HTC One M8 2014 model and the Samsung Galaxy S5.
The 13-megapixel camera on the back comes from Sony. The 3,100 mAh battery should guarantee a long battery life. It comes with stylish replaceable battery covers.
OnePlus One will come with either 16 GB or 64 GB of internal storage. Price of OnePlus One is going to be less than EUR 350 which is significantly less than HTC One M8 that cost 680 euros.
