Toshiba’s Chrome OS based laptop hits US market. It has 13.3 inch HD HD TruBrite display (1366 X 768). It is a light weight (weights 3.3 pounds), slim (0.8 inch thick), and cost effective PC (priced $280). Best suited for students and home users.
Innards include a Haswell-based Intel Celeron processor plus 2GB of RAM, a 16GB solid state drive. It has a long battery life of up to nine hours (total 52 Wh), is equipped with 100GB Google Drive storage shared and accessed across other smartphone and computing devices for two years. It is also have two USB 3.0 ports, a full-size HDMI port, security lock sot and a memory card reader, plus Bluetooth 4.0 and dual-band 802.11 a/b/g/n Wi-Fi.
The model will be available in markets beginning February 16 2014 at retail shops, online shops and Toshiba’s website.
