Nvidia showcased a new smartphone in the form of the Nvidia Wiko WAX during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) exhibition in Barcelona, it is equipped with the company’s Tegra 4i system-on-a-chip (SoC).
Under the hood, the real innovation is in the form of the Nvidia Tegra 4i, which includes the four ARM Cortex-A9 cores at 1.7 GHz, a battery saver core, current parkers, 60 graphics cores and a version of the NVIDIA i500 LTE.
The Nvidia Wiko WAX smartphone is also fitted with a 4.7 inch screen offering users a screen resolution of 720p, an 8 MP rear camera. It extends support for both LTE and HSPA+ connectivity. Though much is not available on specifications, it will most probably have Android 4.3 OS, with a gigabyte RAM. The Wiko WAX also comes pre-installed with TegraZone, Nvidia’s free application which has been created to showcase the best games specifically optimised for use with the Tegra processor.
Once the Nvidia Wiko WAX smartphone officially launches it will be available to purchase in Europe in April month of the year. Price has not been revealed yet by Nvidia, but expect it near € 250 ($ 345).
