Hyundai India has announced that every Sonata Fluidic sedan owner will be given a free Samsung Galaxy Note. This D-segment car is not finding a lot of takers as there is no diesel engine option.
For some reason, Hyundai India’s marketing team thinks that by throwing in a Galaxy Note (first generation), people would ready to bit the bullet and throw bucket full of money and buy Fluidic. Galaxy Note is currently being sold for under Rs30,000 (<$600) in India and with the launch of Galaxy Note 2 in India today, I do not think a first generation Galaxy Note will lure a lot of people to Hyundai’s showroom.
