Lenovo has launched a battery replacement program where it is recalling batteries of ThinkPad T410, T420, T510, W510, X100e, X120e, X200, X201 and X201s and Edge 11, 13 and 14. It shall be noted that not all units are affected and those with following product numbers are affected.
43R9255, 51J0500, 57Y4186, 57Y4564, 57Y4565, 57Y4625, 57Y4559, 43R9254 and 0A36277.
If you are unable to find that label and still you are one of those who are affected by it, you can download Lenovo’s windows tool that finds out if the battery of your device is affected by the problem.
If found affected, Lenovo recommends you not to use laptop. If you really want to, use it without battery installed and by connecting it to mains power supply. The company will be sending you new battery in about three days.
