Along with the iOS 7.1 update, Apple TV was issued an update as well that now lets users to reduce the myriad channels on the home screen. This feature is included in the version 6.1 that was rolled out on Monday.
Earlier users had to go into device’s settings to hide channels but the v6.1 update lets this to be accomplished in a simpler manner. Now one can hide the channels directly from the home screen.
Users can hide the icons on the screen by holding the select button which is cause the icons to jiggle. Then just press the play / pause button on the remote to hide a channel. This update was released along with the iOS 7.1 update for the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad that added CarPlay support, various bug fixes, and improved Touch ID responsiveness.
Recent additions include three new channels namely WWE Network, TV4, and Red Bull TV.
