On Monday, Apple released iOS 7.1 that bought a heap of documented changes and two very surprising additions – update includes bundles for iPad models that have not been publically released.
The download server of Apple is playing host to iOS 7.1 bundles that are targeted at iPads with model identifiers iPad4,3 and iPad4,6 which as identified by our iClarified have not been seen before. The Wi-Fi model of the iPad mini with Retina display is called iPad4,4 and its cellular model is known as iPad4,5.
Their hardware numbers suggests that these new iPad models could simply be evolutionary hardware updates rather than totally new devices.
