Today at IFA 2014 in Berlin, Acer released two new convertible laptops, the R13 and R14. The Acer Aspire R13 measures less than 25mm thick and has can rotate its display 180 degrees.
Its hinge has special clutch mechanism that ensures locking and stability of display at any position. This allows the user to use it six different ways. Its screen measures 13.3 inches and uses IPS display technology.
Acer offers it in two resolution 1920×1200 and 2560×1440 pixels. Inside you will find Intel Core i5 / i7 processor, up to 8GB of RAM and 1TB of storage state drive.
The Acer Aspire R14 is a completely different laptop and borrows design from Lenovo Yoga-series. Due tot his design you can use it in only four pistons which are laptop, tablet, tent and tent-pad.
Its specifications include 14.1 inch display, Intel Core i5 / i7 processor and up to 12GB RAM. There is also an option to equip it with Nvidia GeForce 820M GPU. For storage you can get it with 1TB hard drive.
The R13 will go on sale in October for 899 dollars / euro. The R14 will be a bit cheaper at 599 dollars.
