Acer has revealed a preview of two new Android 4.2.2 ‘Jelly Bean’ based smartphones, the Liquid Z4 models and E3. The Former is a 4-inch, dual core processor powered smartphone, while the latter is a 4.7-inch, quad core processor powered smartphone and.
Acer has anticipated two new models belonging respectively to the economy segment and the average segment of the market, Liquid Z4 and E3 at the Mobile World Congress scheduled to take place from next Monday in Barcelona. The Liquid Z4 is a 4-inch 800 x 480 pixels, which hosts inside it a SoC processor with dual core 1.3 GHz , supported by 1 GB of RAM and 4 GB of space dedicated to storage. The smartphone also features a 5 MP rear camera. The Liquid Z4 also offers four different Quick Modes, namely four different fast access mode that can be configured differently for different types of user.
Basic Mode for example, is perfect for teenagers because it allows you to call and write only to certain users, Easy Mode instead provides quick access to the messages app, radio, weather, magnifying glass, clock and speed-dial features. Classic Mode is the one that collects the other hand all the main functions of the smartphone while finally Keypad Mode allows you to access the numeric keypad to start voice calls.
Acer Liquid E3 has a 4.7 inch 1280 x 720 pixels IPS Display, MediaTek SoC processor with quad-core 1.2 GHz , 1 GB of RAM and 4 GB of internal storage, expandable via microSD. The smartphone also has a 2 MP front webcam and a 13 MP rear camera. The operating system is still Android 4.2.2 upgradable to the latest release 4.4 KitKat. The OS will also be equipped Acer own AcerFloat UI interface which offers an excellent multi-tasking with the ability to open several apps in separate windows. Acer Liquid Z4 and E3 will be available from April 2014 onwards with a price equal to € 99 ($ 135) and € 199 ($ 275).
