Sprint which is under stiff competition from the likes of T-Mobile, AT&T, and Verizon is struggling to get new subscribers and to keep the ones it already has. So it is now turning to layoffs and closing stores in order to keep its profits up.
The network provider announced today that it has laid off 330 techs and closed 55 stores to reduce overall running costs. The staff in the stores were dedicated for repairing phones for the Sprint current customers.
Also announced is closure of more than 150 service centers. SoftBank is the current owner of Sprint and has promised to make the network provider profitable again.
