The HTC Desire 816 with large 5.5-inch display was officially presented at the MWC. It is Android smartphone featuring Android ver 4.4 Kitkat.
As expected, the HTC Desire 816 has a 5.5-inch LCD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. It is driven by Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor with 1.7 GHz per core and 1.5 GB of RAM available. Thanks to the processor and on board LTE we have access to high-speed mobile network.
The HTC Desire 816 has a 13-MP main camera, which record 1080p video, and a 5 MP camera on the front that can only record 720p videos. Other features include 8 GB of internal memory that can be extended, and a 2,800 mAh battery. With 165 grams and 7.99 mm, the smartphone is also quite compact and light in size. It also features Bluetooth 4.0 and NFC.
The launch of the HTC Desire 816 starts first with China next month, followed by the launch in Europe in April-May. The smartphone will probably be priced at € 379 ($ 520).
