The Dell Roadmap 2013-2014 leak revealed that Dell will launch new series of notebook dedicated to the professional use. According to some slides on the Web emerged in the last few hours, the American company is preparing to refresh its line of Latitude notebooks with 7 new versions. Dell Latitude E7250 and E7450 (Latitude 7000 series), Dell Latitude E5250, E5450 and E5550 (Latitude 5000 series) and Dell Latitude E3450 and E3550 (Latitude 3000 series) will be the new model. There is also a new Dell Latitude Education.
The Dell Latitude 3000, 5000 and 7000 have been revised in design, they are now not only lighter and thinner but also have nomenclature for easy identification and the purchase by the customer. The line Latitude 7000 notebook identifies the top-of-range, the Latitude 5000 series notebook belongs to the midrange, while the Dell Latitude 3000 is entry level notebook.
In the third quarter of 2014, the new Dell Latitude E7250 and E7450 (Latitude 7000), Dell Latitude E5250, E5450 and E5550 (Latitude 5000) and Dell Latitude E3450 and E3550 (Latitude 3000) will be presented. At the moment not much is known about technical specifications, but laptops might feature new Intel Haswell or Broadwell Intel processor. The rest of the configuration and the different options will remain the same with touch display, full HD, or qHD, 4-8GB of RAM, up to 1TB storage or hybrid solutions with 32GB flash memory and Windows 8.1.
Soon Dell Latitude Education Series is expected to be launched with a product code Latitude E3340, probably for schools and universities, public institutions and offices, to stimulate learning and productivity. It remains to be seen if it will come with Chrome OS or Windows 8 OS.
