Lenovo came up with its low cost Windows 8 tablet. ThinkPad 8 runs on a quad-core 2.4Ghz Intel Atom Z3770 processor. The 64 GB variant is priced at $429, while the 32 GB variant at $399. Lenovo will also offer 128 GB variant in future. The tablet comes with 8.3 inch screen, 1920 X 1200 pixel display, 2 GB RAM, and battery which runs up to 8 hours. The tablet has stereo speakers, a microSD slot, a micro USB 3.0 port, and a micro HDMI port. It weight around 425 grams.
On Connectivity front, it offers 802.11n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and optional 3G/LTE connectivity. The tablet has an 8 MP rear camera, and a 2MP front-facing camera.
It also offers a docking station, in case you want to use it as desktop. The company doesn’t offer any official keyboard in the package, but provides an optional magnetic cover costing $49. It turns off the display automatically when the screen is covered.
