Samsung has launched Galaxy Note 8.0, dubbed as Note 510 in India. Price of Galaxy Note 510 is expected to close to 25000 Indian Rupees or less. Official price will be announced in mid-March 2013 and will be available in the market by end of March (or early April 2013).
The Galaxy Note 510’s closest rival will be Apple iPad Mini and its biggest advantage over the iPad Mini is the Note 510’s ability to make calls, just like a normal cell phone. Note 510 specs include 8 inch display, HD resolution (1280×800), S-Pen, Quad core Exynos 1.6GHz processor (based on ARM Cortex A9), 16GB / 32GB flash storage, micro SD card support, 2GB RAM and massive 4600mAh battery.
The processor in the Note 510 is same as the one being used in Galaxy Note 2 N7100 that was launched last year. Samsung will be selling in two variants – one will be Wi-fi only and another will be Wi-Fi + 3G model.
Samsung is selling Galaxy Note 2 in India for Rs 30000 (~$600).
Update: Samsung has made the Note 8.0 as Note 510 for Rs 30,000, which is much higher than we expected.
