Last month at the MWC 2013, Samsung unveiled the new Note Pro and Tab Pro family. While the Galaxy Note Pro 12.2, Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 and 8.4 were made available immediately, there was no information on the release date of the bigger Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2. According to a report, it will be hitting the retail shelves some time in March.
Earlier this month, the tablet went up on pre order in US for USD 649 and now, Samsung has announced that the Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 will hit retail shops on 9th of March 2014 in the US at select stores that includes Samsung’s Store, Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, NewEgg and several others. As said earlier, the price of Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 will be $649 for the 32GB version.
For $649, you get some serous specifications that give you a massive 12.2-inch LCD display featuring a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels, and a quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor by Qualcomm running at 2.3GHz and backed by Adreno 330 GPU. Like the Note 3, you get 3GB of RAM.
Rest of its specifications include 32 / 64 gigabytes of flash, internal storage expandable via micro SD card slot, a 8 megapixel rear camera for photos and videos, 2 megapixel front-facing camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, a massive 9500 mAh battery and Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system with Magazine UX. You get the usual set of Samsung’s premium applications, services and subscriptions to enhance your experience.
